I’m sure you’ve heard the horror stories. A colleague clicked on something he shouldn’t have and now all of his files are encrypted. A family member opens an unknown email and now pop-ups are appearing all over the place. A friend downloads “a free movie” and now can’t access her WiFi.

According to Wikipedia, "Malware, short for malicious software, consists of programming (code, scripts, active content, and other software) designed to disrupt or deny operation, gather information that leads to loss of privacy or exploitation, gain unauthorized access to system resources, and other abusive behavior.[1] The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code."
